Gaia Mission Statement

Gaia Sauna was founded on three basic principals. We use these principals, which we refer to as our building blocks, to guide the company in every aspect of its business operations. It is our goal to ensure that the employees of our company and the consumers of our products can easily associate our building blocks with they way they perceive the Gaia name. Our marketing platform is built on word of mouth and it is therefore our intent to use the building blocks to build relationships with our customers that go beyond a one time sale. By INFORMING, PROVIDING and LISTENING, Gaia Sauna strives to become people trust.

INFORMING:
Information is the key to our modern world. Today's consumers have the world at their fingertips and can obtain information in the click of a button. Gaia Sauna understands this philosophy and uses it as a basis for their marketing and customer service strategies. We will not lie to sell our product and will gladly turn down a sale if we feel that the consumer has been misinformed. We believe that the benefits of sweat bathing will sell themselves and that it is our responsibility to provide the customer with all the information they need to make an informative decision. Gaia Sauna understands that there is no better form of marketing than positive feedback and good old fashioned word of mouth. Many people wonder why our marketing strategy splits every dollar evenly between health care professionals and the general public. We do so, not because we think that will boost sales, but to educate doctors, dermatologists, chiropractors and others in the health care industry of the benefits of sauna therapy. We are constantly reminded by health care insiders of the general push towards promoting modern medicines. Unfortunately, in this quest to move forward, many heath care professionals are becoming salesmen for pharmaceutical products. This is not necessarily their fault because most of the literature being provided to them is coming from the manufacturers of these products. Many of these products, which no doubt do provide relief, have not been tested or studied for their long term health effects. Gaia Sauna's goal is to remind these health care professionals that many of these same ailments can be cured through the centuries old tradition of sweat bathing with no long term risk and in certain cases will cheaper and more cost effective than pharmaceutical alternatives. By informing the health care providers, we aim to inform the general public. Our website, our literature and our customer service representatives all have this same goal. Gaia Sauna understands that Information is the backbone of knowledge and knowledge is the prelude towards power. Having our customers informed is the first step to building a long and mutually satisfactory relationship that will benefit all involved.

PROVIDING:
Providing our customers with the highest quality product and the utmost in customer service is the second building block of Gaia Sauna. Many sauna sales and marketing strategies are based on price and economies of scale. Gaia Sauna does not believe in this philosophy and prides itself on the quality of its products. We only use all natural Canadian Western Cedar to build our saunas because we know that our customers understand the difference between Gaia quality and that of our competitors. Some sauna companies will have page after page of the health benefits a sauna can provide and then use veneer coated materials that can actually harm the consumer rather than help. Although our prices are competitive, we will not fight over price. The day Gaia Sauna compromises its quality for the sake of cheaper saunas is the day we close our doors.

Providing top quality customer service is also at the center to Gaia's philosophy. When you call our sales staff you will not be treated like another sale. They will go out of their way to understand your needs, inform you of our products and allow you to make the decision of whether those needs match our products. We do not pay our employees on a commission basis, but rather base their pay on the growth of the company. Our sales professionals understand that by informing and building a relationship with each and every customer they come in contact with, they will build the company through word of mouth. They have been hired by Gaia Sauna because they understand this idea; have a passion for the benefits a sauna can provide and their ability to be informative, courteous and professional.

LISTENING
The final building block of Gaia Sauna is to listen to our customers. We are passionate about letting the world know of the health benefits of sweat bathing. However, we have a key understanding that it is our customers who will make the final decision. We constantly update our website, literature and philosophy to reflect the comments given to us by our customers and health care professionals. Our sales staff ends every phone call and conversation in a question; was there anything else I could have done to improve our transaction and build a better relationship? We take this feedback and build towards the future. We understand that a company that does not learn from its customers is a company that will not stay in business. It is our goal to provide our consumers with the information they need to make an informative decision, but it is the information our consumers provide to us that makes a relationship.
