Home Health Benefits Dry Saunas

Sauna therapy uses dry heat. The dry heat can be generated from multiple sources including wood burning ovens, eclectically heated hot rocks and Far Infrared energy. The newest and most effective heat is generated by Far Infrared heat, which is now becoming the norm for most sauna producers because of its safety and cheaper maintenance costs.

Sauna therapy depends on the dry heat which is more effective at penetrating the skin and relaxing muscles and joints. Its counterpart is wet heat that is common in steam baths. Wet heat does a better job of opening and cleansing pores, but the heated water molecules have a much harder time penetrating the skin. Since many of the health benefits associated with sauna therapy come from the body’s reaction to heat, than it is safe to say that dry heat is the most important aspect of a sauna.

Since Far Infrared heat does the best job of penetrating the body and warming the core, it is the most effective dry heat available. It is so effective that it actually runs at lower temperatures than electrically heated hot rocks. In fact hot rocks operate at such high temperatures that they can be counterproductive because less time is spent in the units. Both units use dry heat to benefit the body.

Dry heat has been proven throughout the centuries to be an effective and natural way of helping overcome a multitude of illness, injuries and infections. As is a precaution taken when dealing with any extreme, if you feel overwhelmed or ill from the heat it is best suited for you to get out of our sauna and let your body cool down. The more and more your body get accustomed to the heat, the easier and easier it will be for you to spend valuable time in your unit.
